Words from QlikTech

Partner Case Studies - Continued

OK, back from meetings.  Our Qonnect partners are really doing some innovative things - pushing the QlikView envelope, so to speak.

  • Kevin Courtney of High Point Solutions told us about their QlikView deployment to "PharmaCo" field sales to help them manage and analyze 3.2 billion rows of data, coming from IMS market data on more than 5000 customers.  "PharmaCo's" enlightened management saw that in-memory analytics was the only practical solution, and following a "Seeing Is Believing" proof of concept, QlikView was the clear choice.  Kevin and his team have come up with some innovative ways to group and refresh these massive data sets.

  • Oleg Troyanksi and Phil Bishop of Natural Synergies show how the QlikView market is actually maturing.  These two veterans - Oleg was a CIO at Blyth and implemented QlikView four years ago; Phil was an expert inside QlikTech in the US - created a company to focus on getting the most value out of QlikView.  They provide an independent "QlikCheck" on customer deployments and have a wealth of best practices for QlikView.

  • Cotiso Hanaganu of Q&Q Info out of Romania developed automated documentation and search tools for QlikView developers.  It's almost an unintended consequence of QlikView's simplicity that documentation can become an afterthought. But SOX and Basel II compliance regulations, for instance, make documentation a necessity.  QQTools are great examples of the ecosystem we are building.

So now we begin the User conference part of the week.  It's really gratifying to see the synergies we are creating for these customers - QlikView as a platform, Partners as domain experts and innovators - all for great results.
