QlikTech offers many opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and meeting new challenges within QlikTech means many things to many people. For some it's vertical movement, while others prefer to move horizontally to new departments or functions. Many QlikTech employees make geographic changes as well, moving from one country to another, sometimes in the same function and sometimes in a new one. And for some its all three!
Who better to tell you about life at QlikTech and all of the opportunities we provide than the people who make us successful?
The people highlighted here represent the qualities that make QlikTech's employees as unique as our product: They are driven, flexible, and open-minded. Constantly thinking outside the box, they have successful track records and are always willing to share their experiences with others, through networking and teamwork, or by supporting customers, partners, and new employees.
Matt
Presales Consultant, United States
To say there is never a dull moment at QlikTech is an understatement. I started as a part of the QlikTech North America marketing team at the beginning of 2005. We were fairly small then, but growing rapidly. As a result, I was afforded several responsibilities and heavily involved in lead generation, event management, and even a CRM implementation.
All of my experiences working with QlikView eventually led to my transitioning into a presales consultant position a few years later. The switch has proved to be a great fit. Being directly involved in the sales process and giving people unparalleled visibility into their business is very rewarding.
Ingemar
Program Manager responsible for Software Integration at R&D, Sweden
When I first joined QlikTech in 2000, we were only some 40 employees. My first job was as a consultant in the Nordic market for two years. I also spent two years in North Carolina, when QlikTech North America began operations. In 2004, when the International Markets group started, I joined the team, traveling to more than 30 countries, including eight months in Paris during the launch of QlikTech France, followed by three months in Madrid with the QlikTech Spain team.
I finally decided to settle down in Sweden as a program manager responsible for software integration at R&D in Lund.
What I like most about QlikTech are the opportunities to participate in new and exciting projects and to see firsthand the results of our teamwork.
Loren
Marketing Manager, North American Alliances, North America
During an incredibly stressful time, when my health required moving out of sales, QlikTech worked with me to find a role that would draw on the wealth of knowledge and experience I'd gained in sales. They recognized the value I bring to the company and moved me from sales to marketing in order to keep me here.
I am very grateful, and I believe that my situation is a perfect example of the compassion and value that QlikTech has for its employees.
Ben
Account Executive, United States
In January 2006, when there were just 30 employees in the United States, I joined QlikTech as a business development rep in Raleigh, NC, where I remained for about 18 months. Then, an opportunity arose to take the position of account executive for the southeast region. Today, my territory includes the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
I am very fortunate to work at QlikTech and appreciate the many opportunities being part of this company has given me. In the short time that I’ve been here, not only have my responsibilities increased, but our employees in the US now number more than 100 — and I am proud to be one of them.
Björn
Technical Advisor, Sweden
I joined QlikTech in 1998 as a technical pre-sales consultant working with both the Swedish and Danish market. I moved to the R&D department in the startup process of our Second Line Support team, which was later integrated with the rest of the support organization in 2006.
"The flexibility of changing roles within QlikTech really makes it possible to grow and take on new challenges. I really like the culture within the organization, and talking to people in management is no different than chatting with the rest of your colleges. No red tape, just open and straightforward."
