QlikTech offers many opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and meeting new challenges within QlikTech means many things to many people. For some it's vertical movement, while others prefer to move horizontally to new departments or functions. I started out as a sales executive in December 2005. From the outset, my experience selling QlikView has been incredibly positive, and I have closed numerous deals and recruited many new customers. What’s exciting for me about QlikView and working with QlikTech is the passion for the product and the commitment of our customers. Prospects realize quickly what they can do with QlikView and are eager to work with it; they are rarely, if ever, disappointed. I’ve never seen anything like it in my years of sales.
In April 2008, I took on a new role as a regional sales manager in manufacturing. It’s been an exciting change, complete with new responsibilities and interesting experiences. The satisfaction and reward I feel from my work continues to grow daily, and I look forward to what the future will bring.

I’d been working as an intern for QlikTech when I was offered a full-time employee position with the company. This was in New York City in 2002, right after I’d graduated from college. At the time, it was very hard for foreigners to get a job in the US, and I am from Japan and was an international student. One Friday after work, my then boss Fredrik Ehnö and I went for a drink in SoHo. I expected it to be just another end of the week drink. But Fredrik pulled out a big envelope with a job offer inside. This offer not only helped me stay in the US then but set the stage for what’s been a very satisfying career.
I worked as a pre/post sales consultant in New York for four years. Then, I transferred to International Markets in Amsterdam and worked with the newly established Dutch team until 2007. Currently, I work in the United States managing a team to deliver demonstrations and best practices.

Since 2005, I have been doing what I like most, building and expanding customer support, first for the Nordic market and now leading global support. Working for a company like QlikTech is both challenging and rewarding, but most of all exciting.
We constantly set new objectives and meeting them is energizing and exciting. Combining this job with a family of four kids is challenging, but it works!
