Among the 100 awarded enterprises is the Düsseldorf based QlikTech GmbH, which came in at 11th place in the small and medium companies category with up to 500 employees. Among IT-companies, QlikTech is ranked 4th. In its first year of participation in this event, QlikTech has already made it into the ‘ivy league‘of employers in Germany that includes companies such as SAP® Deutschland and Cisco Systems.
A recent QlikTech employee survey attested that QlikTech employees are proud of their company. One hundred per cent of the respondents feel that the work they do makes an important contribution to the companies success. Ninety-eight percent claimed their work has a special meaning to them and is not just a job.
“We take our employees identification with QlikTech and their pride to be part of this company as a proof point that we live to our organizational values and that ‘humanity’ is a core factor for us – and not just a company marketing slogan“, said Ulrich Beckmann, Managing Director of QlikTech GmbH.
Companies are selected for the Best Companies lists primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to a questionnaire on reliability, respect and fairness of the management, identification with the own work responsibility and the employer altogether as well as for the quality of co-operation. Further information used for nomination to the list is provided by completion of a culture audit on the concepts, programs and measures in the HR area as well as the personnel management in the enterprise. Olaf Scholz, Federal Minister of work and social, presented the best ranked enterprises last night in the context of an award gala at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin the documents for their excellent job quality. The competition initiated by the Great Place to Work Institute is awarded annually world-wide in more than 30 countries. The awarded German enterprises are automatically qualified for the subsequent competition of the European Union, which is to determine the 100 most attractive employers in Europe.
